What to Expect

Worship Service
It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time and can even be a little intimidating. You don’t know “what to expect”, how to dress, should I stand or sit or can I raise my hands in worship.

We want you to feel comfortable so that this new experience is a good one. Most of the people dress casually. You can wear blue jeans or a suit and tie, either way we welcome you to East North Street just as you are.

This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. We have live upbeat worship with guitars, drums -the works, as well as more intimate songs of worship. Everyone worships in their own unique way – for many, that means singing & clapping, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.

Childrens Church and Nursery
We have a well-staffed infant and toddler nursery. If you need it, one of our greeters can direct you to the nursery. After the praise and worship portion of the service, the children are dismissed to participate in a youth oriented service. Ages 4 – 12 are invited. Please feel free to let your children attend this service. If it’s your first time with us, we will gladly escort you and your children to the children’s service.

Offerings
We do honor God with our tithes and offerings during the service. There is no requirement for you to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to give back a portion of what God has provided them in their lives.

Sermon
Every Sunday, our pastor brings a message that is based on Scripture and is designed to help you in your everyday life and walk with Christ. We want you to have a personal and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. A life based on the Scriptures will ensure a strong foundation.

Communion
Periodically we celebrate communion during our service. The purpose of communion is to remember the life that Jesus gave up so that our sins could be forgiven. If you have made the decision to follow Jesus Christ – you are welcome to participate in this time of reflection and prayer.
