Adult Ministry

Our Philosophy

Every church is unique and is formed by the interaction of theology, philosophy and practice. We believe in a missional model that seeks to reach out to others rather than gather in. We no longer have singles, men’s, women’s or college ministries. That doesn’t mean we don’t minister to those groups only that we don’t gear a ministry toward a specific group to be able to reach that group.

We believe that church consists of people sharing life together in being the body of Christ. We are not a “programs” driven church. Our adult ministry is compromised of Life Groups. These groups gather together in recognition that we need the support of others as we go through life.

Why Life Groups?

Acts 5:42 tells us that people not only met at the temples for public services but that small groups also met in private homes for the nurturing of believers. If small groups were vital to the church’s growth then, they are just as vital now.

We are convinced that everyone needs the support and encouragement of other people. Life Groups allow people to grow in their faith in a small group setting, usually 8 – 10 people. It’s a place where members can share “life experiences” and study God’s word together. It’s a place where you can grow friendships, where you can pray and be prayed for, encourage and be encouraged.

All of our Life Groups are different but they have the same purpose and goal. They all exist to help each other grow in their faith. In addition, some groups have outreach ministries, perform community service projects or visit the home-bound. No one can fully experience what church has to offer until you connect in a small group. We invite you to “Get Connected” in one of our Life Groups.
